Starting September 30th is banned book week. Check out the list of top 100 frequently challenged books here.
This week, I’m giving away an audio book or Kindle edition of any John Green or Elizabeth Scott novel. Scott’s Living Dead Girl was challenged in Illinois school for having inappropriate subject matter and Green’s Looking For Alaska was banned in Tennessee just 4 months ago because of a single non-graphic sex scene. While these authors aren’t on the frequently challenged list they are both authors who write amazing stories and I don’t believe there books should have been banned.
